First draft — not yet reviewed by an attorney. This page describes current practices honestly and in good faith, but it has not had legal review and should not be treated as final. It should be reviewed by an attorney before being relied on as a binding agreement, especially the liability/warranty sections and anything related to payment, once Selah for Ministry adds accounts and billing.

Terms of Service & Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 5, 2026  ·  Draft version

These terms cover both the free Selah — Exploring Theology tool ("Selah," "the Service") at selahexploringtheology.com, and the Selah for Ministry landing page at ministry.selahexploringtheology.com. Selah for Ministry does not yet have accounts, subscriptions, or payment — when those launch, this page will be updated to describe what's collected before those features go live, and the revised version will be posted here with a new date.

1. What Selah Is

Selah is a conversational tool for exploring Christian theology. It draws on more than sixty historic and contemporary Christian voices, Scripture, and a set of guided topics ("nodes") to help you think through questions about faith. It is written from an evangelical Christian frame, not a neutral or interfaith-adjudicating one, and says so plainly when relevant.

Selah is powered by AI (Claude, made by Anthropic) generating responses based on curated theological content. It is not infallible, does not replace study of primary sources, and does not replace guidance from a pastor, counselor, or trusted community.

2. Not Professional Advice, Not a Crisis Service

Selah is not a substitute for professional medical, legal, psychological, or psychiatric care, and it is not a crisis service. If you or someone you know is in immediate danger, or is a minor disclosing an unsafe situation, please contact emergency services, a crisis line, or a trusted adult directly — do not rely on Selah as the sole source of help in an urgent situation.

3. Age & Eligibility

The free Selah tool is open to anyone, at any age, without an account — that's a deliberate design choice, not an oversight. Because it's anonymous, there's no age verification on the free tool itself.

Any future account, subscription, or payment through Selah for Ministry requires the account holder to be 18 or older. Where Selah for Ministry is used with a congregation or group that includes minors, access should be provided through an adult leader's account rather than direct signup by a minor.

4. Privacy — What We Collect

Third-party links

The donation link (Ko-fi) and feedback form (Tally) are operated by those companies, not by us. If you choose to use them, your interaction with them is covered by their own privacy practices, not this page.

5. Cookies & Local Storage

The Selah tool itself does not set cookies or use browser local storage. Google Analytics may set its own cookies to measure traffic, governed by Google's privacy practices.

6. Content & Intellectual Property

The structure, curated theological content, and presentation of Selah belong to Artistyle, LLC, a Colorado limited liability company. Scripture citations and references to historical theological works are used under their respective public-domain status or fair use as applicable. You don't acquire ownership of anything Selah generates beyond your own personal use of a conversation you've downloaded.

7. Donations

Donations made through Ko-fi are voluntary, non-refundable, and do not purchase any product, feature, or guaranteed outcome — Selah's free tier remains free and full-depth regardless of whether you donate.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

Selah is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind. We don't guarantee the theological accuracy, completeness, or fitness of any response for a particular purpose, and we don't warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

9. Limitation of Liability

[Placeholder — standard limitation-of-liability language belongs here once reviewed by an attorney. Generally limits liability to the amount paid for the Service (which may be $0 for the free tier) and excludes indirect/consequential damages, subject to applicable law.]

10. Changes to These Terms

As Selah for Ministry develops — particularly once accounts, subscriptions, and payment are introduced — this page will be updated, and the "last updated" date above will change. Continued use of the Service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions.

12. Contact
